This article provides you with information on how to find your SNI hostname.

SNI stands for Server Name Indication and is an extension of the TLS protocol. It indicates which hostname is being contacted by the browser at the beginning of the handshake process. This technology allows a server to connect multiple SSL Certificates to one IP address.

To get to your SNI hostname we would advise performing a lookup on your website address as per below:

  • Open Cmd > ping your website address

  • Then reverse ping  the IP address your website name resolves to

In the example here our SNI hostname is  front.1-grid.com
